Nice place to stay

Place is very nice.very clean and right on the water. 5 mins to everywhere. We had fun.

Wonderful Place

Great family vacation spot! Could see the ocean from every bed! Fantastic balcony and excellent kitchen! Grilled every night down by the pool. Loved having the small beach and pool on the grounds. Community laundry on the ground floor. Awesome to hear the waves. Beds were comfortable. Would stay there again in a heartbeat! less

Nice stay again at Nohonani

We have been bringing our kids here since they were 5 and 3 years old, almost 30 years ago. Came this time for our daughter’s wedding. Unit 403 is comfortable and well equipped. We had an issue with the modem and the owner was helpful in allowing us to buy a replacement and get it working. Amazing views from the lanai and being right on the beach make for a great location. less

OH MY GOODNESS, IS THIS HEAVEN!

this place is so much fun and amazing. the views are to die for. we loved the decor. very tropical. very cozy but big enough for 5 people. rooms were a nice size. beds were comfy. very clean. lots of towels. bathroom shower on the top floor was awesome. kitchen small but had everything you needed. lots of extra fun stuff for hanging out at the beach. chairs, cooler, boards. now, to the awesomest part of all, (not sure if awesomest is a word but you get it, ha). the balcony is the most beautiful thing ever! OMG! You can see it all. we saw sea turtles every day. we were able to see the other islands. we saw amazing sunsets. and the best thing was hearing the crashing of the waves every night. i saw earlier comment that this was a distraction. what?! why even go to Hawaii! ha. overall, amazing location. close to lots of small shops. 10 minute drive to the wharf and so on and so on. one small thing, it does get hot but tolerable. will definitely stay here again in the near future. Mahalo! P.S- hello to the manager there. forgot his name. very nice guy. knew of great spots to go and check out. less

Fantastic

Our stay in Maui was fantastic. The condo met all of our needs! I would suggest maybe a rubber in mat in the down stairs tub, my husband did sip and fall. Everything else was perfect. Can't rave enough about Joe the resident Manager. He was amazing on maintaining the grounds, Even helped us crack open a coconut! we will definitely be booking 403 again! Mahalo! less

— Ronald , Stayed 07/29/2018

Quaint

This is a quaint condo which needs some deep cleaning, ceiling to floor, and a fresh coat of paint in some areas. Really can’t walk along the beach here, and you will need water shoes for the lava formations in the water. The waves sound more like a roaring wind than gentle waves and they woke us the first couple of nights. Turtles are a plus, and we watched some whales right off the balcony. Two and a half stars. less

Condo 403 Review

The condo was clean and the beds very comfortable. They were just finishing cleaning when we arrived so didn't have to figure out the unlock procedure. The baths, kitchen as well as the main level floors were nicely renovated. The view was everything we hoped, and there were sea turtles on the beach everyday and whales visible from the lani. I wish we had known there were beach towels and binoculars provided as we could have saved a lot of packing space. We didn't discover a lot of things until we did our clean up at the end. My recommendation for people is to search the drawers and closets as soon as you get there. They supplied a lot of useful things we didn't find, Like the broom until the last day. LOL. But I would definitely recommend this condo. It is loud with the waves so close but our group loved it, I was prepared with earplugs, and the sliding doors were a bit tough but that is the price you pay to be on the ocean. and was worth it, Thank you for the welcome gift :) and allowing us into your home. less

Nohonani Condos

Staying at the Nohonani Condos and Resort was wonderful. We were a family of 5 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Maui. The location was unbelievable. Daily we saw whales from our balcony and every day with the tides came the turtles. Amazing!! The location was great and the condo had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. Thank you for the wonderful gift upon arrival ..a very nice surprise. Thank you again for making our trip to Maui memorable. less

Family vacation

Nohonani was perfect for us. There were four of us with plenty of room to spare. The location was excellent! I don't think you could get any closer to the water. Falling asleep to the crashing waves was amazing! Oh did I mention we had at least one Sea turtle show up every evening. The condo was as advertised and more. Walking distance to great food, coffee, and shopping. I wish we could have stayed a few more days. If I get the chance to go back in the future I would love to stay here again! Thank you! less

— Triish, Stayed 12/25/2017

Wish I could have stayed longer!

Beautiful condo right on the beach. The view from the lanai was beyond words. We loved seeing the turtles every day! The welcome basket was perfect and greatly appreciated after a long day of travel! Wish we could have stayed longer! Mahalo

Spacious unit, beautiful views.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. This condo unit was in an excellent location. It was spacious and had all the amenities that we needed. I loved being able to watch the sea turtles swimming in the ocean in the morning and the sun setting in the evening from our lanai. Some people complained about the noise of the ocean waves but I fell right asleep to the sound of the waves and I typically prefer to sleep in silence. There was a farmers market right down the street which had some really great food options (I highly recommend their OMG Pitaya bowl. Between this condo and the unit next door, it was perfect for our family! I would definitely stay here again. less

— Justin, Stayed 05/12/2017

Great location

Lovely condo....Great location close to amenities with nice private beach and updated rooms. Only concerns were no Air conditioning and being so close to the water meant it could get very loud from the waves.

— Elaine K, Stayed 04/14/2017

No air conditioning-amazing view

I like to be fair and helpful in my review: Location was really good, by the ocean, but the lack of air conditioning made this an expensive condo. The rooms upstairs were too warm at night, specially with the sun hitting in the afternoon. Also, the master bedroom upstairs had a bamboo screen as a temporary cover from the roof heat (apparently there was a door there before, now a hole that goes to the roof). It was very uncomfortable to sleep upstairs due to the temperature, we used 2 fans at night. My teenage kids had to close the windows at night because of the loud waves sound (I on the other hand loved it). The upstairs bathroom shower was nicely remodeled but the towel holders were broken and could not hold more than 1 towel at a time, we had to be careful. The binoculars that were mentioned in a previous review were broken. Pua was very nice in bringing us a kettle. I would suggest the owners provide a tablecloth. The view from the balcony is amazing. We enjoyed having breakfasts there but had to get out in the afternoon due to the heat. Having the washing machine and dryer in the unit was a big plus. The swimming pool water was really nice, with warm water. The beach was mainly x snorkeling and not for walking on the sand. All along that area the beaches have a short sandy part, not just this condo. We got to see a sea turtle, that was nice. less

— Adriana, Stayed 04/06/2017

great stay in honokowaii

We had an excellent holiday here. My mother was also renting unit 104 on the first level, and both were clean, with good space, and adequately stocked. We had some minor issues (garbage disposal and toaster not working), but we got an immediate response, and they fixed the issues the next morning while we were out snorkelling. The onsite caretaker is friendly and helpful. Great family holiday. less

— Andrea, Stayed 03/26/2017

Loved it

We stayed here for a couple of nights and loved it. We got to see a few turtles on the beach, swim in the clean pool, and hang out on the deck with the beautiful view, where we spotted some whales in the distance. The kitchen was well stocked though small. The bed was comfortable and we really appreciated the lovely gift basket upon arrival. We would definitely stay here again! less

— Nick and Amber, Stayed 03/18/2017

Clean??? Really???

DIRTY! Condo was not very clean when we checked in. As both grandmothers were with us the place got properl cleaned by us. The cleaners were supposed to come for a mid visit cleaning (we were there for 17 nights) but we never saw them. (As the place was cleaner than when we checked in they weren't terribly missed. Old socks under the bed covered in lint, gross ceiling fans, filthy screens, window Louvres missing, archaic dryer venting that leaves dust etc inside condo.). I'm pretty easy going...not a neat freak but it needed much improvement. Also the condo is very poorly stocked : Mugs, bowls etc. Two of the beds were uncomfortable. The railing was broken on the deck so a piece of plywood was zip-tied to railing to plug the hole:). Bottom line the place needs some money spent on it. We paid over $7500 for our stay so we were disappointed with the unit over all. Now what really pisses me off is the fact that I was charged 175 dollar mid stay cleaning fee and chuck at Aloha condos claims we sent the cleaners away. We never saw nor sent cleaners away during our stay. I tried to tell Chuck that he may have a problem with the cleaners and he stopped responding to email. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect to be reimbursed for services that I did not receive. To summarize.....you can do much better than this place. less

Beautiful condo!

We loved the condo! We were excited when there was a package of Maui treats and water waiting for us when we arrived! The was so nice and much appreciated! We loved relaxing on the lanai and we saw so whales and turtles from our beautiful view!! The only thing that bothered me was the cleaning lady came before 10 am our last morning there asking when we would be out. Check out wasn't until 11 am. We felt rushed and she was waiting outside our door when we left shortly before 11. Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful place ! less

Excellent stay in paradise!

Our stay was wonderful! We felt so welcome from the moment we walked in and saw a welcome basket with our name on it and everything was just as it was described on the website. Would definitely stay again!

— Terin, Stayed 01/03/2017

Fantastic place

We loved this place! We This was perfect for my wife and I, daughter, and our two adult grandsons. Overlooks the pool and the water. We had 3 beach chairs and an umbrella to use. Beach towels were provided. accessing the unit was easy. The unit was clean, no bugs. There is a beach a few feet from the pool. The location was a couple blocks from the farmers market. Very convenient to Kaananpali and Lahaina. We would come back in a flash. Only wish we had was that they provide dish washing tablets for the dishwasher. A minor issue. less

Beachfront Beauty

This was a great beachfront rental close to restaurants and shopping. We toured a lot of the island and thought we made an excellent choice of location. The welcome basket was a nice touch :-)

August stay

This is our third stay in this condo. It recently has been remodeled and is very nice. There are a few minor items that need attention , lights in kitchen were burnt out except one, need to be changed, upstairs glass lever panes are in need of a few replacements. After reading reviews prior to our arrival someone had posted can opener needed to be replaced as it didn't work, can opener still needs replacing. I kept forgetting to pick one up every time we went to store, sorry. The welcome basket is always a nice welcoming gift. Thank you and we will be back next year. less

Always remember that you only need call your local contact if anything needs to be addressed. Pua is there to help resolve any problem you might experience during your visit.

Wonderful Family Retreat

Nohonani Unit #403 was lovely!! The views from the lanai were wonderful. The kitchen is very small but well equipped except that they need a new can opener!! It was very comfortable for our family of 5, and we all thoroughly enjoyed dining on the lanai for every meal. We also enjoyed walking to Bad Ass Coffee in the morning as well as going to the Farmer's Market. The location of the complex is perfect!! WE have stayed in the complex before and we would certainly stay again. Mahalo for a lovely and memorable stay in Maui... less

Awesome whale and turtle viewing

This is such an awesome comfortable place will stay again! Highly recommend to everyone. Close to shopping and Lahaina . Quite and fully stocked. The big welcome basket was a nice surprise!

Wonderful Location and Beautiful Condo

We had a wonderful time at your beautiful Condo, the welcome basket was very much appreciated by our party of 6 and the local turtle who came to visit every day was very much a highlight, he or she even swam underneath me one day. Plenty of things to do and see while on this beautiful Island and especially the Ziplining that we participated in was fabulous. All in all I would thoroughly recommend this location and accommodation to anyone wishing to have a relaxing holiday with beautiful scenery to enjoy. Trish Baker less

Amazing Location, Very Good Value in this Condo

Rented this 3 bed / 2 baths condo for a family vacation in October 2015. The location is simply fantastic, directly on the waterfront and the beach; the views of the sunsets are simply magnificent right from your lanai. The unit was recently partly-remodeled and though a bit small, was very comfortable for 5 people. A well equipped kitchen permitted to cook on site and plenty of amenities are available at the unit, ranging from beach towels to pool toys, cooler to lawn chair, etc. The in-unit laundry was also very convenient. The welcome basket was a very appreciated touch upon check-in. Beds were very comfortable and the unit was quiet - at least we never heard any neighbours (more on noise below). You will also get to see sea turtles coming on the beach at night, a nice treat. There were a few things that took away from perfection: 1) There is no A/C in the unit. I understand that A/C isn't common in most Maui condos, but being on the 4th and 5th floor (this unit is over 2 floors) made the rooms feel quite warm, despite all the fans running and the windows being wide-opened, which leads to... 2) Having the windows opened mean you WILL hear the LOUD waves crashing on the beach. For us, that was great as we all love some white noise to go to sleep to, but others could very well be quite annoyed by this (frankly, it is loud... but soothing at the same time); 3) WiFi is provided in the unit, but it was simply awful, with a range of about 5' from the router/modem and the speed similar to dial-up; I believe there must be something wrong with the hardware as it just wasn't right. Though on vacation, we sometimes have to submit something for work or school and in this day and age, Internet is quite hard to do without. This condo is about a 45 minute drive to the airport, 10 minute drive to downtown Lahaina and RIGHT on a beach :) There are some restaurants and basic shops within a few minutes walk. I would recommend this place but with understanding of the caveats mentioned. less

Beautiful condo

The condo unit we stayed in was very beautiful. Nicely renovated & up-to-date. Upon arrival we had a beautiful welcome basket waiting for us. The location of this condo is also perfect with easy access to town, shopping and many activities. Unfortunately we arrived very late in the evening and Island was experiencing extremely high temperatures. The unit was very hot and difficult to cool down. Be aware of this unit does not have air conditioning. We did realize this when we rented the unit but we were not prepared for the unusually high temperatures and lack of Tradewinds during our stay. It was too hot to use the second bedroom or run any of the appliances. I am sure that during normal conditions this unit is great; however please consider the time of year when you book. less

— Michael, Stayed 09/01/2015

beautiful views

Nohonani Condos was a beautiful stay. It was clean, and spacious. The complex itself was a little older. But you can't beat the views all around. Would definitely come back.

— Maria, Stayed 07/10/2015

Dream Vacation

Hawaii was my dream vacation and we finally got there. Nohonani was everything I dreamed of and more. We had a beautiful view and couldn't have been any closer to the ocean. Sea Turtles came onto our beach area every day to sunbathe with us. Everything was clean and kept up. We are planning to go back in 2 years and will be staying at Nohonani again! The ONLY negative of our entire 2 week stay was a group of guests that sat daily at a poolside table poolside and played games, that was not an issue, however, the fact that they approached us and many other guests to chastise/inform us/them of anything that they thought was improper, from smoking rules, children noise control and the sea turtles etc. I only know all of these because all the other guests were very friendly and would share how bothered and upset they were by what was said to them by these fellow guests. They were not kind in the way that the said what they had to say. Other than the unnecessary self appointed security Nohonani was a wonderful, enjoyable property. less

Fantastic experience!"

We had a fantastic stay. The location was perfect, and the unit was comfortable, nicely decorated and extremely clean. We were even greeted with a very nice gift basket to welcome us. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. Mahalo!

Family Reunion

I choose this place because we were having a gathering of family and needed a place to enjoy the environment and family. It was amazing!! It was two couples (one with a baby) and a mom and daughter. The kitchen was equipt with everything we needed and then some and the breeze through the downstairs and master was just beautiful. If we had only one thing that wasn't as perfect as everything else was that the room with the single beds was a bit less breezy. There are just a few windows in the corner but there were lots of fans to fix the issue. The beach was great and the turtles were a great addition to the experience. Also, the pool was the right temperature, the views were undoubtly the best and the grills were very nice. Biggest plus was the price and the location was great because of the neighbors in the condos. All and all, the experience was amazing and were are already planning our return for next year. less

Great updated condo with outstanding view

We stayed at Nohonani Condos and Resort, # 403 for a week in August with two 18 year old teenagers. Every room in the condo is nicely remodeled The unit is a few feet from the ocean and the view is fantastic. The beds were all comfortable and the unit was clean. While the kitchen is small it served all our needs well. The living space was perfect for the four of us. we never felt crowded. We saw up to 10 turtles at a time hanging out near the rocks just a few feet from the shore. Every day a turtle would climb onto the beach for a few hours, amazing! A car is recommended if you stay here. It's about a 10 minute drive to the downtown area of Lahaina where there is all the restaurants and shopping you could want. This condo is a great place to stay with a great view. less

At home on a Hawaiian beach

The condo was a wonderful way to spend out vacation. With 10 of us in the group, we took up this unit (403) and the adjacent one (404). The balcon overlooks the beautiful ocean and the private beach access. We were treated to views of fish and playing sea turtles - in the water and on the sand. Our family made good use of the kitchen for our breakfasts and lunches, but several dinners were spent down by the pool, using the grills, and enjoying the sunset. The condo complex also offers boogie boards and water toys for use by the residence. The condo is within walking distance of shops to fulfill all of your snorkeling, surfing, boating, paddling, and beaching needs. A short car ride will bring you to Lahaina and Ka'anapali for any additional treats and dining you may want. less

We had the best stay at Nohonani Condos. My husband and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary and we had my four sisters joining us at the condo. What a wonderful place. Amazing Family Vacation

This is the second time my family has stayed in condo 403. The updates to the condo are fabulous. It looks amazing! The unit is clean, the welcome basket is an added touch. The views are amazing, the sunsets, the whales, the turtles and the turtles coming up on the beach everyday. The condo complex is clean, nice, and well kept. We had 21 in our family come to this complex this year, I think we had 6 different units rented. Everyone was completely happy and can't wait to come back next year. Nohonani 403 is the best!!!

This was our second stay at Nohonani 403! Words cannot explain how wonderful the view is, how spacious the condo is, and how our family loves it there! There was a beautiful basket of local goodies waiting for us when we arrived, very nice touch! The condo was a little different from our first visit...the bathrooms renovated, the carpeting was gone and instead was a beautiful, easy to clean floor! We were very pleased! Everything we could have possibly needed or wanted was provided. It is a lovely place, and we can't wait to go back! (I just reserved the condo for Christmas/New Year 2015/2016!) less

Great place to stay

The only things that were not perfect was the TV is way too small to watch in the living room and the dish washer is very small also. Other than those 2 things the place is perfect. Newly remodeled and in great taste, beautiful view and close to a lot of places. Restaurants, Grocery Store, Park and Mall. Thank you so much for the wonderful basket when we arrived, it made us feel so special. The Turtle on the beach right in front of the our unit was the frosting on the cake. Thank you so much. less

Sunsets and turtles,Oh My

Owner/Manager Response

Mahalo for the review, Luci. We’re very glad you enjoyed your stay. I wanted to let everyone know that the kitchen is undergoing a complete remodel right now. Erin Chaves, owner Nohonani 403.

Fabulous ocean front condo

We had a fantastic ten day stay. Ocean views from all the bedrooms with two islands across the straight. We saw turtles everyday and several came up and spent the night on the beach. We also saw porpoise and seals from the deck. I loved that you could sit on the deck with complete privacy unless you were near the rail on the side. We toured most of the island and this is one of the best locations in Maui. less

We will be back!

Condo 403 is a great place to stay. I traveled with 2 other adults, as well as 2 teens and a child. The 6 of us fit very comfortably in this unit. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms spacious and nicely decorated. The kitchen is small, but the kitchen has everything (and I mean everything) you could possibly need to put together any meal. The cupboards are stocked with all the things you don't bring on vacation, such as salt and pepper and coffee filters. Upon arrival, the owners had a gorgeous gift basket for us on the table. It was stocked with all sorts of island treats. Such a nice touch! The view from this place is amazing. I slept in the first floor room and was lulled to sleep every night, and woken up every morning by the sounds of the waves lapping against the beach. Pure bliss! The deck off this unit is perfectly sized, a great place to enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine. It also has a view both of the ocean and of the pool, which is great for keeping an eye on teens who are old enough to play in the water, but still need to be checked on from time to time. We had turtles come up on the beach numerous times during our stay and one day a family of 6 of these lovely creatures swam just off shore for several hours. The beach itself is private and perfect for making sand castles, or just lying on one of the many chaise lounges and enjoying some time in the sun. The caretaker was around every day, washing sand off the walkways, cleaning the pool, and keeping the place in tip top shape. The parking lot is of sufficient size, and you can't beat how easy it is to get from the car to the elevator. So much nicer than one of the big hotels! From the ease of booking this room online, to the helpful and informative emails from Chuck about the rental, to the gorgeous spacious room right on the ocean, there is no place I'd rather stay on my next trip to Maui. less

Great family vacation!

We really enjoyed being able to be "home" for our vacation. We are not the fancy high rise hotel type of people and liked that we could have all the comforts of home right on the beach. Private pool, which was never busy and snorkling just over the wall. less

Best trip ever!!!

Aloha, I have dreamed of a Maui vacation for as long as I can remember. This was it. Me, my husband, 12yr old daughter & 17yr old son stayed in Nohonani #403. We are already planning our next trip. The no hassle process of booking, was a breeze. The photos on the website are accurate. The place was comfortable and clean. My kids took full advantage of the boogie boards and sand toys. We were able to BBQ by the beach at sunset. Everything we needed was provided. We used the ice chest for a 12 hr trip to Hana. A beautiful location, walking distance to grocery stores and shops. Short drive to Laua, fine dining, boat trips and adventure. Life is good!! This place was amazing because it let us experience Maui in our own way, without resort or hotel expences. Mahalo to Erin & Mario for the gift basket. We arrived about 11pm, hungry, so the gifts of food were very appreciated. If your looking for fancy smanchy, this isn't the place for you. If location, comfort, price, and sea turtles on the beach every day, is your wish, this is it. Don't forget the romantic sunsets...I miss falling asleep to the sound of the waves. We all had an awesome time. Blessings, Jolene less

We stayed in May and the condo was very comfortable. They are equipped with all the necessities you need, boogie boards , iron, ice chest it was very well supplied. Best part of the trip was the turtle who visited us everyday but one during our stay, our grandson loved it. less

Best location!

This is our second time staying at this condo. We love the location, the beach, and the condo is great! Love seeing turtles everyday! Reef is right outside your condo. No need to go someplace else to snorkel, you can do it right in front of condo. Beds are very comfortable. They have everything you will need for your stay. We will for sure stay again. Mahalo! Family adventure

We stayed for a week with our daughter and two grandsons (9 & 11. The unit was clean and exactly as represented. A nice gift basket of coffee, cookies, and sweets welcomed us to a classic Maui sunset, thanks Chuck!). The boys were up at dawn checking out whales tail slapping and breaching in the Molokai channel. Green Turtles were in abundance. One day there were five turtles feeding in the quite water immediately below us. The pool was clean and refreshing after a walk down the coast. Since this unit is above and on the end of the building, pool noise was never an issue and our views of the ocean and islands were maximized. We loved the sound of the surf and breaking waves. Since you are literally over the water, you will hear crashing waves. We had some high surf during our stay. Resident caretaker does a good job of maintaining the facility. Beds were exceptionally comfortable. The Japanese sliding screens offered cool accents. Our day trips included Haliaukla, Molokini snorkle trip, and drive up to North shore to see Dragons Teeth below Hyatt Regency, Kaanapali Beach Black Rock, and Honolua Bay to watch the surfers. Very cool. Nice local feel to complex that is in walking distance to local shops and businesses. less

Amazing Location

My family and I had an amazing time. The condo was perfect. The views are amazing, so amazing it's hard to describe in words. The whale watching was so awesome and breath taking. They were everywhere, it's like they were putting on a show for us! And the turtles would come up on the beach each day and stay for awhile. The sunsets were even more breath taking. We met some nice people during our stay, and enjoyed the conch shell blowing at sunset each night. The manager Mark was great and took very good care of us. I would highly recommend this place! As others have said, the kitchen is small, but we managed to get around just great. There have been some updates to the condo and it's very very nice. Again, as others have said the bathrooms need updated, but worked great for us. There is a grocery store close, farmers market, a place to rent snorkel gear. If you are a runner, its very convenient to run on the sidewalks. The pool was a nice bonus for relaxing during the day and in the evening! I would recommend this condo and the entire complex! less

What a View

There is no better view for whale watching and turtle watching. Each bedroom has an oceanfront view. The condo is comfortable and the bedrooms and common area has been upgraded. Both bathrooms, while functional, are a bit dated. The "galley" kitchen can only accomodate one person at a time, but we managed quite nicely. Having the barbecue downstairs was a nice feature. The beach and pool were great. This is a special place and I know I will be coming back. less

My family and I stayed here for 11 days and the condo was perfectly stocked with everything that we needed. We saw whales and turtles from the balcony every day. The condo was very spacious and easily accomodated all five of us.

Great Family Vacation spot

Unit is dated and could use some updating but certainly has everything you need. You can see sea turtles daily and also whales in season. Good location. Had lots of room for a party of seven.

sleeping by the sea

What a perfect home away from home. It was everything we dreamed of and more...seeing sea turtles, whales, sunsets, surfers, crabs and glorious rainbows all from our lanai had an other world feeling.Guess that is why they call it Paradise. There was even a wedding on our beach. We were close to Subway, and other take out and groceries and even the ever helpful aBC store so we always had whatever we needed. It was an easy drive to a great blowhole( though after a windy night there were some big rocks on the road). We enjoyed the boogie boards and pair of flippers, luxurious beach towels, and even used the coolers and ice packs provided. The dishes had fun island designs. Everything was very clean and had so much island character. Don't want to sound unrealistic but we really were able to relax and enjoy our stay here, and were all so sad to leave. All 6 of us had enough room to get a bit of space from each other too. It was actually a little hard to hear each other on the lanai with the crashing waves. Sleeping with that noise was soothing but did take a little getting used to- which we were thrilled to do. Mahalo for a wonderful time in Maui. We would want to rent this exact room again. less

Great View

Great View, enough room to have 6 people, but wish it would have had a love seat a long with the couch. Seems like there was not enough comfortable space to relax after a long day in Maui with 6 people. Kitchen was very small, but got used to it after a few days, dish washer worked Fab!!! Freg took at least 12 hours to get cold after we put food in it, but once it was cold worked fine. Hate the fact that the freg had no door holders so you could not use the full use of the freg because they were broke or lost and never replaced. Also the dryer is a fire hazard!!! The lint trap would fall out of the dryer when using it because it was missing a prong and behind the lint trap was so full of lint and sand! Please look into this!!! Needs professional cleaning from a washer dryer company. I am betting a fire will take place in condo 403 if you do not look into this very serious issue! Maybe another fan for the up stairs smaller bedroom and someone to clean the windows inside and out of condo for better views in this great ocean side condo. Loved the pool and beach, this made the condo even better and being on the top floor rocked!!! Bbq was great, so many nice things about this condo, wish you would have had numbered and assigned parking. Two nights in a row, no parking space for us at all, had to park in the private space and put a note on our van that we had no space to park other than the private spot and worried all night long we would be towed! If you took care of some of the things listed in this info on our stay, your condo would be so much better! Really worried about that dryer, we had a house fire in our home, you don't ever want that in your condo and I am sure your neighbors don't either!!! less

Thanks for taking time to review your visit and we’re glad you enjoyed the stay. I want to assure you that the dryer vent has been repaired. If you stay with us again (and I hope that you will), please don’t hesitate to phone your local contact if you experience any difficulty. Your local contact is there to assist you, and will act quickly to help you. Since becoming owners of this condo we have done many upgrades including flooring and furnishings and a kitchen upgrade is in the planning stage. I regret that your expectations exceeded the actual accommodation, but I do think you will agree that our online photos and video very accurately represent the condo as really exists. Beachfront, luxurious family vacationing.

The 3 bedrooms and pull out sofabed easily accomodated the 5 adults and 2 boys. The view overlooking the beach was beautiful every morning and afternoon and provided an excellent view of the afternoon turtles munching on the seaweed on the beach in front of the condo. Used the 2 boogie boards and even left a third which we found on the beach. The snorkel and fins also were used. The location was outstanding. It's a short walk to a Farmers Market, coffee shop. A fish market & deli, supermarket, convenience store, several restaurants are only short drives away. About 10 - 15 minutes drive away are Whalers Village Mall and Lahaina Cannery Mall. On the down side: 1. The lower bathroom fan was not working 2. The floor under the sofabed needed vacuuming. But, all in all our family had a great time. I would recommend buying a small 3 cup rice cooker. It would appeal to asian families. less

Great place to stay!

From start to finish our stay at 403 was fantastic. Chuck was always very prompt in replying to emails and questions. The condo is located in a nice area with smaller buildings and stores within walking distance. Also close to other beaches on the West side, this made it easy to check out several different beaches during our week long stay. When we weren't out taking in the beauty of the island we sat on the balcony and watched the turtles coming in and out to feed and looked for whale action. Having the boogie boards available to us was also nice, one less thing to rent, we made good use of them. The grills on site were really nice and worked great. I would highly recommend staying here, it is close to so many places and a great way to be able to enjoy Maui and the ocean every minute you are visiting. The only bad thing about staying here was having to leave! less

Great location and views, not too crowded, good price

3 BR top floor condo with excellent views out and down the beach. Nice sandy beach and pool, which is unusual for Honokowai condos. The condo was strangely renovated, with a smallish living room and kitchen, but larger bedrooms. It still needed an upgrade for the kitchen. Also, the upstairs master BR has an open ceiling to the guest room, so if parents are planning for some privacy from the kids - forget it ! All-in-all I would recommend this place to someone who has not been to Hawaii before. It's close to lots of activities, especially in Lahaina, but is quite a drive from Road to Hana or Haleakala. I recommend going up to Napili beach for sunning and snorkeling, and DT Fleming for boogie boarding. both are within 10 minute drive. There is good snorkeling at Nohonani if you go straight out about 100 yards. Well tended grounds and lush plant life really added to the stay. less

Terrific location and view, comfortable condo.

We spent 10 nights at 403 in Nov 2011. We were 2 couples. I especially appreciated that the condo really has 2 master suites along with a 3rd bedroom. We spent many hours on the lanai enjoying the expansive views. New paint throughout the condo looked good. Bathrooms, kitchen and carpet are overdue for updates. We loved the snorkeling at our own private beach. We swam near giant sea turtles daily and among hundreds of reef fish. Near shore is a lava/coral reef which is good, but 200 yards out from shore is a spectacular reef with clear deep water. I recommend Nohonani 403 and would stay there again. less

Simply delightful

Nohonani Condo 403 was everything we wanted and much more. We stayed there from Sept. 26-Oct. 3rd and found it very quiet and very restful. We were a party of seven and when we walked in we were thrilled with the size and cleanliness of the condo. More thrilling was the ocean view and being right on the beach. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves was simply heavenly. We usually ate breakfast on the lanai and every day, around noon or so we were so lucky to watch the wonderful sea turtles swimming. Due to the rocky area right as you enter the water from the beach swimming was not always the best but my husband, daughter and her friend did enjoy going snorkeling a few times. The swimming pool was wonderful and we usually had it to ourselves. The location of the Condo is fabulous. You can walk to several different places, such as the grocery store, coffee shop, small farmers market, even a yummy taco truck that was there most evenings. Boss Frog is right down the street and that is where we rented our snorkeling equipment. Everybody we met was very friendly and very helpful. We felt fortunate to be less than 5 minutes from Kaanapali Beach and Whalers Village. Our all time favorite beach which was about 10 minutes away was Kapalua Bay Beach located in Napili. If you want to snorkel this is the place to go. If we ever get the chance to return to Maui we would stay at Nohonani condos and resort again. It truly felt like home away from home and it was very difficult to leave. less

Comfortable stay in Lahaina

Our stay involved two sets of parents, one infant and two toddlers. Location and access to beach and pool on the property were excellent. Kids enjoyed both the pool and the beach. The regular and daily sea turtle observations from the balcony were fun. The 403 unit is a bit dated, could use a bit of soundproofing and cosmetic renos, but the views from this suite are exceptional and overall the suite is well equipped and stocked to accomodate 4 adults and 3 kids. Great location in terms of closeness to grocery stores, various restaurants (Maui Tacos, Famous Dave's) and the public beaches (if you have kids ask about Baby Beach, great find if you have kids). Check in / check out and directions were all seamless and helpful. Thanks for accomdating us Chuck! Much appreciated. Overall a great week in Maui in a comfortable suite, close to everything, with a great view overlooking the ocean. less

Glorious time in Maui

#403 was instrumental to the 8 glorious days we spent in Maui. The condo was roomy, clean & well equipped for a family of 5 incl. 2 teen girls and 1 preteen boy. We had absolutely no issues with any type of tropical pests. We saved lots of $$ by cooking in the well equipped kitchen & snorkeling 3-4x a day at the condo's beach. Sunrise and sunsets were beautiful. Also saw turles and eagle rays very close to the beach and dolphins passing by past the reef. Warm constant breezes kept the condo cool. Laniuopoko beach is only a 15 minute drive for good surfing. Great neighbors, too! Can't wait to go back and be that relaxed again! less

Beautiful view, gross place to stay

Many reviews talk about the beautiful views. And this place definitely has an amazing view from the main living area. You will see sea turtles swimming by. However, the pictures make it look like the owners have really updated this place. Not true! All they did was put in some new furniture and bedspreads. The kitchen is gross with cracked tiles and ants everywhere. We were travelling with 2 babies. It's a lovely feeling knowing that ants would probably be crawling all over their boxes of food and water cups. The dishes that we did attempt to use were dirty. Both bathrooms were so outdated and dinghy looking. I went to get in the shower and there was hair on the floor and wall. Gross! After our dinner, we came back to find bugs all over the main living area. My husband started taking pictures of the various bugs from flying ones to roach looking ones. These were different bugs than the ants that were all over the kitchen. To end the lovely day, I went to get in bed upstairs (in the sweltering heat - no AC and the fans totally did not cool things down) and the sheet was stained and there was hair in several places on the sheets. Disgusting! I do not recommend staying here at all unless if you like living in bug infested unsanitary conditions. We moved to the Kaanapali Shores and got a beautiful new looking condo for the rest of the week that was impeccably clean and the same price. less

Owner/Manager Response

Tammy, you obviously did not enjoy yourself. I’m glad that you at least liked the view. I honestly had a hard time determining who you were, since you decided to write a review 9 months after your visit. I apologize if the cleaners did a less than thorough job, and I regret that you did not phone one of the numbers provided to you during your visit if you were less than satisfied. It must have been difficult holding in your frustration all of this time. This is an older condo, and it does show some wear & tear, but improvements are being made constantly and I’m happy that subsequent guests have had a much better experience than you did. Chuck, manager condo 403

Relaxing Get-Away

We would rate the condo a 5-star for location, view, privacy and ambience. The main living area was comfortable and clean with updated furniture and a large lanai. The gift basket was a thoughtful gesture including coffee and cookies. We were all a bit surprised, though, at the run-down condition of the upstairs and, particularly, the 3rd bedroom. No closet, peeling wallpaper and mold. The bathrooms were clean enough but all doors need replacing. We also had an ant infestation in the kitchen area. There wasn't anyone available to talk to on the property about this and we never met Bill, the property manager, even after inquiring at the rental office. Finally, we had to purchase our own papergoods because there was only one extra roll of T.P. and P.T. which wasn't enough for 6 adults for a week. All in all, we enjoyed the experience, with reservations. This could be an exceptional rental with some much needed upgrades. less

Amazing View, Wonderful Place to Stay

We had a wonderful time staying in #403, it had an amazing view and was well kept. Also, it was great to have two floors as we stayed with another couple and still felt it was very private. The kitchen had everything you needed and we cooked a lot to keep the cost down. The beach was incredible, we swam and snorkeled and saw huge sea turtles. The only drawbacks were that there was no air conditioning and it was pretty hot expecially on the second floor. The fans helped but was not enough to keep it cool. Also, I think there are some mice in the unit as we had our bread and crossants on top of the frige and we took them down one morning to eat and there were little holes and bites out of them so we had to throw them away. We didn't see any droppings or the mice themselves but did see the evidence of them eating our food on top of the frige. Overall our stay was lovely and we could see staying there again. less

Great vacation at #403

We had a wonderful time staying in Nohonani #403. It s great to find an affordable place that could handle 7 people, with comfortable sleeping arrangement and ease of movement throughout the place. It was great to have the ability to cook meals and save a few dollars, rather than eating out at everyone meal. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The view of the ocean is awesome...and right from our lanai, we could watch the sea turtles, whales and a monk seal!! And the sunsets were amazing...every night we stepped out onto the lanai to watch the sun set and listen to the conk shell "ceremonies". The "Welcome" basket was such a nice touch, after traveling so many hours to get there...we were exhausted and it was such a treat to see that waiting for us!!! We will be back!!! less

Great location! Fantastic view!

The condo's location is right on the beach. The sound of waves fills the condo at night, creating a very relaxing and soothing atmosphere. Every morning right from the bedroom windows you can see turtles feeding just off shore. During the days great restaurants and markets are just a short walk down the street. The area is not over populated, unlike other areas of Maui. The beach on the property is small but absolutely great for snorkeling. You don't have to go more than 5 feet out to see a variety of fish. We enjoyed that the beach was a bit more private than others on the island. Seeing whales each night and hearing the conches blow at sun down was amazing. We stayed here for 5 days with a group of 6. We had an awesome time and would recommend it to others who are not looking for a party location, but rather to relax and enjoy the environment around them. Aloha and mahalo! less

A Wonderful Christmas in Maui

The Nohonani Condo 403 was an awesome place for our large family to celebrate Christmas! The 3 private rooms gave each couple a place to retreat to and the main living area was large enough to accomodate Christmas morning with many people and presents. The views from the condo are gorgeous, we even saw sea turtles, a whale, and a rainbow from the lanai. The condo is close to shopping, restaurants, and it is a quick trip to Lahaina by rental car. The pool and private beach are awesome. Make sure you bring water shoes as there are sharp rocks in the ocean. We'd book this condo again in a heartbeat! less

This is an amazing value for the prime location.

Our family of 5 plus my daughter's boyfriend spent 5 days here (we ended our vacation on Oahu and we were all wishing we'd stayed longer in Nohonani #403!). We saw (and swam with) sea turtles every day and even saw a couple of whales from a distance. The location is perfect, away from the crowds in Lahaina but close enough to visit daily if desired. We were very comfortable here and loved the sound of the surf. It is well furnished. A few cons: the smoke alarm goes off very easily (even making toast). Ceilings are low - must be careful not to stretch standing below the ceiling fans. A few lamps had burned out bulbs. The beautiful master bedroom would benefit by adding a mirror, which would free up the demand on the upstairs bathroom. The bathtubs are a little worn but that didn't bother us. We would definitely return. less

We surprised my Mom with a weekend on the West Side of Maui for her 75th birthday. This condo was amazing! It's right on the ocean with a great swimming beach which is a rare find in this area. We saw the turtles swimming right in front of our condo. It's well appionted with every kitchen item you could need. Enchanting

We've just returned from 10 enchanting days in paradise and a dream vacation at Nohonandi Condo #403. The condo was stellar and fully equipped. There was binoculars, books, CDS (even a CD guide for The Road To Hana), boogie boards, a cooler & anything & everything one could need-(the only thing missing was a pair of scissors-big deal). The website pics are 100% accurate and there is nothing misleading. Loved the 2 stories, 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths and the washer/dryer. The view from the lanai and the sunsets were spectacular. There was a group at the next condo that would gather at sunset to all blow their conches-to say goodbye to sunset-that was really eerie but cool. Looking for turtles was fun. Watching Molokai at sunrise was breathtaking. Hearing the waves lapping 24/7 was soothing. No aC is not an issue-the tropical breezes and fans were better than aC. There's even a plumeria tree on the premises! I was so sad to leave and can't wait to return. Maui no ka oi and Nohonani 403 no ka oi...Mahalo nui loa to all concerned. Our favorite beach area on the island.

We have stayed at the Nohonani complex 3 times now and absolutley love this area. The complex is quiet and the small beach is great. I rated it with the 4 stars for the old Hawaiian feel. It's not the most up-to-date place you could choose, but it has all of the amenities you need. Unit 403 was larger than the ones we usually rent. It had 3 bedrooms. The views are magnificent from all bedrooms. The unit has had some upgrading and needs some more, but we will stay here again. The bathrooms and kitchen need to be updated, but they work just fine. The owners provide beach towels, boogie boards, coolers and a lovely welcome basket on arrival. Nice touch. There is always plenty of parking. We had 2 cars and had no problem. There is an ABC store with gas and a farmer's market within walking distance. There are also grocery stores and restaurants a few blocks away if you didn't want to drive to Lahaina(6 miles away) for supplies. Groceries are expensive in west Maui and we found the Times market down the street was pretty competetive with Safeway in Lahaina. We love the whale watching, dolphins, turtles and snorkeling right from our condo. You can also walk down the beach quite a ways during low tide. Very nice walk. All in all...a great place to stay. less

Aloha Eileen, We are so pleased that you enjoyed our home in Maui. We recently purchased it (last June) and have been making improvements to it ever since. A great place to stay and relax!

Our family stayed at Unit #403, for 11 days in April. We really enjoyed the condo, very comfortable, the breeze of the ocean was refreshing and cool during the hot periods of the day. A beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony on which we could see the whales and turtles. The pool was a lot of fun for the kids, as was the ocean. It is one of the few condo complexes in the area that has it's own beach- which is a great! Overall a very relaxing and enjoyable visit for our entire family, and we would most definitely return to the condo, and recommend it to those who view these reviews. I know that some reviews commented on the need to upgrade the condo, or move the smoke alarm out of the kitchen, so it doesn't go off each time you make toast or cook, but hey- your in beautful Maui, in a comfortable condo, with great ocean views, warm water, a pool , private beach, ect, ect. very pleasent, we enjoyed the condo

We liked the condo very much. We were right on top of the beach snd loved seeing the turtles eating at night and the many whales out in the water while sitting on our balacony. The only thing we would change is having a few more pot and pans in the kitchen. There was only a large frying pan and no sauce pans. Unit 403 Nohonani

We visited with elderly Mom and two toddlers (yep, we're nuts!). Perfect setting for all. The on call support person was very responsive to our one need. The owner had alreay made funishings upgrades that were very nice, beds were comfortable etc. The carpet guys were arriving as we left so you will enjoy new flooring in 2010! I'll add this comment for those who will find it an issue: 1) the loft bedrooms are not private, they adjoin via an open vaulted ceiling. So, if you are renting this unit with other couples or want privacy for a romp, forget it. However, if you need to listen for the little ones, or otherwise don't care, this is perfect! Mom stayed down stairs and that area is really like a separate suite. The shoji screens close but I don't think they're sound barriers. Again, the rompers may want other accomdations. 2) My elderly mother can't get in and out of a tub bath/shower combo and that's what you've got here. So, consider this not ADA functional. All that aside, this is one of the best units I've ever stayed in, anywhere, and we travel a lot! Have stayed in timeshares, luxury hotels and private condo's like this. Unless you require the Westin or the like, you'll be pleased with this sweet unit in a perfect location. less

We spent our vacation on Maui at the Nohonani, unit #403, from December 15-31 2009. There were 6 of us; my husband and I, and our 4 children, ages 20, 13, 10 and 9 years old. We were hoping for a good sized condo so that we would have some elbow room, and we were not disappointed! We also wanted a decent kitchen, a washer and dryer, 2 bathrooms, (20, 13 and 10 year olds are girls!) and an ocean view. Unit 403 was made for us! Perfect in every way possible! A day after we arrived, while watching sea turtles swimming and whales breaching in the ocean right outside our window, we were scheming up ways to come back again...SOON! (Oh, and if the owners are reading this...CONTACT US IF YOU EVER DECIDE TO SELL!!! We'd buy the condo in a split second!) The condo was spacious, and while it wasn't as clean as a high priced hotel with daily maid service might be, it was clean enough. It felt like home, very cozy and practical! The only negative thing we can think of, and it isn't very negative at all, was the lack of knives! The only regrets we have are not being able to stay FOREVER, and also that we didn't have time to write in the guestbook about what a wonderful stay we had. I highly recommend 403! less

Turtles

Nice Condo with new furniture. Carpet was a little dirty and the kitchen small, but the view and seeing all the Turtles from the balcony was just great. We were expecting to have a double bed instead of the twin beds in the third bedroom, but it still worked out. less

Great Place

We had a great time in Hawaii. The weather was great. The turtles were out and playing down below the unit. Location is great and the visiting owners of the other units were friendly. We will definitely consider staying again on our next visit to Maui! less

Beautiful Condo, Beautiful place

Our family was fortunate enough to book 8 nights at Nahonani Condos and Resort Condo 403. It was a beautiful 3 bedroom condo on the fourth and fifth floor, overlooking a gorgeous beach. The bedrooms were large and confortable, the facility was clean and well equipped, and the beach was fabulous. We sat on the patio and watched sea turtles and rays feeding on the reef. We snorkeled right off the condo beach and saw beautiful fish and coral. The kids had a wonderful time swimming in the pool. It was a great week on Maui! less

3 Generation Vacation fit just great into our Nohonani Condo # 4

This was our first visit to the condos at Nohonani and we had 7 people total covering 3 generations of my family. So to say the least, I was concerned how the condo would work with all of us. But it was clean and ready to go when we arrived. There was a very nice wrapped gift basket on the table and instructions for everything. We had 3 bedrooms, two full baths and even washer/dryer setup. All worked great. We really enjoyed the view out over the beach and the reefs. We enjoyed watching the turtles swimming around the bedach and reefs at night from our lanai. We could just go down 4 floors to the ground level and boom, on the beach and swimming with the fishes. :) It was in a good location that was close to shopping plus wonderful other beaches and parks. We really had a great time and highly recommend it to other families that want to be close to everything. (One great feature was that the condo was two stories inside the main door. Inside stairs to the main bedroom, 2nd bedroom and w/d. It kept the teenage girls noise downstairs at night. Peaceful and everyone happy). less

Great Location but needs a little updating

With just a little bit of TLC, this place could be awesome! It was roomy enough for all 6 of us and had a great view off the lanai of the ocean. The pool was a good size and was kept clean. Sea Turtles were just 10' off the shore every afternoon. Really cool! The place itself could use some new carpet and a bit of updating but the cupboards were stocked with dishes, nice fluffy towels were rolled up on the beds waiting for us along with a very nice gift basket upon our arrival. I may go back again but I may look for another more updated condo for my next visit. less

The view was fantastic !!!

Our experience with Chuck at Aloha Condo's was excellent. He answered all our questions promptly. The condo was nice, open and airy. There was a fantastic breeze blowing through most all day. The location was great, just a short drive to most stores, restaurants and walking distance to the farmers market. The condo was older and we were made aware of that fact, however it required some basic upgrades. WARNING !!! The carpet needs to be replaced desperately !!! Professional cleaning won't even save it. I felt uncomfortable walking around in bare feet. The kitchen smoke alarm went off every time I cooked anything including toast in the toaster. That was loud and annoying. The bathroom fan was very very dirty. The ceiling fan blades were filthy. Positives -- The view, and the sound of the waves crashing at night was extremely relaxing. Watching the sea turtles in front of the condo was awesome. Bottom line, if you can live with some dirt, dust and the thought of god knows what living in the carpet, ...then go for it, but I warn you .. don't spend your $$ until this 20 year old carpet is replaced!! I hope the owner will consider making that improvement at least. If not, then I have to be honest, I would recommend this home solely for the view and beachfront location, This place isn't for someone who is expecting luxury accommodations. less

Marvelous Stay at Nohonani Condos near Kaanapali, Maui

We had the best possible week in our Nohonani condo in Maui. Our unit (#403) was on the top floor and was a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2-story condo. As soon as we walked in, we knew this would be a special week for us. Our lanai overlooked the small beach, and we were greeted with a wonderful and thoughtful gift basket containing a tote bag, chocolates, cookies, and assorted snacks. My wife was quite impressed by the near new, high quality towels. I think the most impressive parts of this place was the awesome view of Molokai and Lanai while relaxing with a book and some fresh fruit at our table on the lanai; and the chance to watch huge sea turtles most evenings from our lanai, as they would come within 10 feet of the sand. This time my wife and I came with our 21 & 18 year old daughters, but on our next visit to Maui and the Nohonani #403, we will come alone. Even though we won't need the other 2 bedrooms, it will be well worth it to us to stay at this truly memorable location. My wife and I are ready to go back there tomorrow (if only we could). My deepest thanks go out to everyone at Aloha Condos for making our week in Maui such a wonderful experience. less

Home Away From Home

We absolutley LOVED your condo! We spent most of our days right there on the beach or in the pool. It was like being at home. We went to the grocery store and cooked most of our meals right there in our own kitchen or we barbequed by the pool. We definitly would love to come back and stay in your condo. Comfortable condo with great view

The condo was very comfortable for the 6 adults in our group. It is roomy and the beds were comfortable. The view is spectacular. The rental process was smooth and easy. This is an older complex and while the unit was comfortable and had everything we needed it could use a little updating (i.e. shower heads and maybe the carpet replaced with tile). But would not hesitate to rent this property again. We enjoyed our stay very much. less

Paradise Retreat

We had an amazing holiday in the Nohonani Condos . The condo was beautiful & the view from our balcony was spectacular . It was big enough for 8, very clean and very well equiped . It was an unforgetable experience for all of us . Would love to return some day . The sofa bed was a bit uncomfortable & should perhaps be replaced . less

Paradise Dream come to life

I had my 2nd stay in this unit in 10/08. I LOVE IT! The setting couldnt be better as the unit sits beach side. I fell asleep every night listening to the waves. The outside ammenities are wonderful with beach side pool, plenty of lounge chairs, flowering grounds. Nice BBQ area also, but we did have some small, many legged "visitors" during our evening BBQ that we didnt expect! Be careful using this area at night. Interior is clean and has a ton of room, is well appointed with tables, couch, TV, CD player, DVD, etc. All bedrooms are on the ocean side of the unit. This is an end unit so there is a wonderful breaze on the lanai. View of neighboring islands is fantastic. Unit is dated, however, and needs some serious updating in the bathrooms, flooring, etc. Unit supplied plenty of towels, boogie boards, beach chairs, cooler. I would highly recommend this unit! less

Relaxing

We stayed at Nohonani 403 for ten days during August 2008 and found out pretty quickly that we had found a fantastic Hawaiian hideaway. We were four adult friends traveling together and found the layout just perfect, especially the two bathrooms. The condo is so centrally located that it was just a short walk to several strip shopping centres where everything you needed was available. Even an ABC shop!!The condo had everything provide to enhance your stay, down to snorkle gear, binoculars to watch the turtles and music CDs to complete the mood. Most importantly, you were right on the beach with uninterrupted views from the balcony and bedrooms. We hardly used the dining room, instead opting for the balcony to take our meals and watch the turtles and sunsets. Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic. The owners are just great. Friendly and caring, attending to a few small problems we had quickly and professionally. So at no time were we inconvenienced. Even able to recommend to us the best places to visit, when we weren't on the beach or shopping that is. Local knowledge is the best recommendation. We are planning our next trip to Hawaii in 2010 and will definitely be returning to Nohonani 403. Thanks for a terrific and memorable holiday. A little piece of Hawaiian Heaven. less

Great Condo, Perfect Location & Cool Breezes

We spent an amazing week at the Nohonani Condos and Resort Condo 403. This is the first time that we stayed at this property -- and it was perfect. The beach was amazing and the location was great. Condo was in order when we arrived, it's large size afforded all of our family to stay and the cost per night was affordable. Having a kitchen allowed us to enjoy more family time and less restaurant wait time. Complex had BBQ's on-site so that provided alternatives to being cooped up inside. Also the location of Unit 403 in the complex provided cooling cross breezes throughout the day. We'd definitely recommend this condo! Enjoy. less

Looooved it!!!!

We only stayed for 2 nights,..but we had such a great time! The condo had everything we needed to kick back and enjoy ourselves! The bedrooms were all very comfortable, and the kitchen was well suited. So much better than renting a motel room! We would love to rent again! less

Very nice!

We spent 7 wonderful days at this condo and loved every minute of it. The modest balcony was perfect for our families to watch the whales and the turtles. We loved having the option of swimming in the pool or just jumping in the ocean. There's a great Farmer's Market just down the street too! We would definitely rent this condo again. less

Great Vacation

We stayed in Room 403 with our two children age 6 and 9, and my in-laws. There was plenty of space for 6 people, the lanai was perfect especially at sunset, you can also see the turtles feed about 50 yards away. The bbg pit was a great addition, it's very practical. The condo is walking distance to the local market, great people and ice cream, not to mention the farmers mkt less

Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay. The condo was kid friendly and not too fancy so we could relax and not worry about breaking anything. We had four teens and they are still talking about wanting to return. We could walk down to the beach and swim with the huge turtles as well as snorkle or just lay in the sun. We all hope to return someday. Wayne and Sandy D. less

Great Location

The location was perfect for us. Great views from the balcony; nice, quiet neighborhood. Some good local shopping: farmers market, grocery, fish store. Easy access. The only down side is that the unit was beginning to show it's age. It was looking a little shabby and due for a make over. less

Nohonani Condos 403

My husband and I stayed here with his parents for an extended week in October 2008. The condo was spacious, clean, and in good condition. The beds were comfortable; towels and linens plentiful. The kitchen is on the small side, but, when you are on vacation, who is going to spend time in there anyway? The elevator was a bit slow, but it worked, thank goodness. The view from the lanai was beautiful. It was fun to sit there in the early evening and watch the turtles as they came close to shore. The beach in front of the condo is a bit short for strolling, but, there are plenty of beaches near by. We plan to stay here our next trip to Maui, which is soon, I hope! less

On the Whale Trail

This is the second time that we have stayed in this unit and the third time at Nohonani. The location is perfect for whale watching and we had an added treat on this trip of a close encounter with turtles on the rocks just off the beach. The unit is large and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. It's top floor corner location offers a great view of the whales as well as up and down the coast. We will be back. Thanks. less

Best value for your money!!

We were married in Maui in 1988. We make it a plan to go back every 5 years and last year was special it was our 20th wedding anniversary. We found Aloha Condo?s on line after doing a lot of research and we were not disappointed at all!! The view from the lanai was great we enjoyed watching the turtles play in the waves and the whales swim by and those Maui sunsets can take your breath away! The location was ideal close to everything we needed. We met friends from Florida, and Chicago and shared the condo for a week, everyone had their own space the condo was perfect. I would HIGHLY recommend this condo. The condo was very clean everything in working order ? the owner was great to work with. For our next stay we will definitely be booking at Aloha Condo?s again ? it?s the best value for your money!! less
