Need to Know
Fort DeRussy Beach was founded in 1908 and named after Brigdier General Rene E. DeRussy who served in the American-British War of 1812.
Lifeguard
A lifeguard tower is located at Central Waikiki Beach near the Waikiki Police substation.
Facilities
Restrooms, showers, and food concessions are located at numerous spots along the beach on Kalakaua Avenue. Fort DeRussy Beach also has picnic shelters, shade trees, a grassy area, and a water sports equipment concession.
